For Fight Fans & Fighters Alike
Mixing Martial Arts is the best place to learn about the inner workings of combat sports. My own journey began in a garage with the only BJJ instructor in my small town, progressed through high school wrestling, and evolved into years of training and competition in Muay Thai and MMA.
Experiencing and studying a wide range of combat sports has given me a uniquely broad perspective on fighting, and I’m eager to spread what I’ve learned for your benefit. If you’re a practitioner looking to improve your skills, I guarantee you’ll find something of interest to add to your game. And if you’re a fan interested in a closer look at the tactics, strategies, and techniques used by our favorite fighters, you’re in the right place.

Professional Scouting Services
Are you an athlete or coach who could use another pair of eyes on your upcoming fight? Let’s work together.
One of my favorite things to do in this space is apply my experience toward helping others improve and optimize. That used to mean running classes and cornering fighters, but now that I’ve stepped back from regular training and competition, scouting scratches that same itch.
I’ve provided scouting services to fighters in MMA, Muay Thai, and boxing, including athletes fighting in the UFC and ONE Championship. For an example of my work, check out this Twitter thread detailing some of my observations when scouting for an opponent of top Muay Thai fighter, Tawanchai.
If you’re a coach, manager, or fighter interesting in working together on scouting and game planning, please reach out to me through Substack or at ryanawag@gmail.com.
